Diving in...an aquarium!

Last weekend, we took the students from school to dive with the sharks at Underwater World, on Sentosa Island. It was a great experience and I manage to join the last group. We were led to the back area, where we geared up. When we slipped into the tanks, we could see the tourists walking through the giant tunnel, taking pictures of us.

Once settled, we fed the eagle rays, the napoleon wrasses and a few other big fishes. The underbelly of the ray is very soft. I kept on putting a hand on their bellies as I fed them. Nice! After a while, the guide went to get a leopard shark and shoved it in our arms. This guy looks smooth and slimmy, but he feels a bit more like sand paper or something. Hard to describe. Here are a few pics:

Birthday Celebrations...

Turned 34 on February 1st. I haven't had such extensive b-day celebrations for a while! Shabs kicked off the afternoon with a visit to the Spa Sauvignon. A massage, body scrub and jacuzzi with a glass of wine (or two...). From there, we made our way to the Fullerton's chocolate buffet. So decadent!!! Yes, THAT was dinner! Mmmm! Here's the info from the Fullerton's website:

"Fulfill your chocolate fantasies with a rapturous buffet of chocolate desserts, melted chocolate drinks and a chocolate fountain overflowing with irresistible smooth dark chocolate, every Thursday to Saturday."

The next day, the dragon boat team had a happy hour. I was already exhausted, but still managed to stay around for a few drinks and dinner. Saturday, there was a swing event, but by that time, I was so exhausted; I opted for my bed! :-) Wow, I can't wait to see how I'll celebrate my 35th birthday!
